Camp
Lotus fronts the South Fork of the American River three miles
downstream from Coloma. It is nestled in a broad river valley which was
inhabited by Maidu Indians for thousands of years before James Marshall's
historic gold discovery in 1848.
Camp Lotus is in the middle of the Mother Lode Country at 700' elevation, surrounded by grasslands, pines and oaks which are typical of the Sierra Foothills. The immediate campground environment ranges from riparian willows and cottonwoods up through tall pines, oaks, ceanothus, toyon and blackberries. We have 38 campsites on 23 acres, allowing ample room for privacy and roaming, wildflowers and river watching.
Minimum Stay: During June, July, and August there is a two night minimum on weekends only.
Cancellations will be charged a $20 refund fee unless less than a week's notice is received, in which case there will be no refund for the first night.
Check-in for all lodging is between 3pm and 9pm (unless special arrangements are made). Check-out is 11am. The charge for an extra person is $9 Fri or Sat and $7 Sun.-Thurs.
No Pets are allowed.
No Smoking is allowed in any cabins.

Yuba River Cabin Rates: $120 per night midweek. $140 Friday/Saturday night (per night). Rates based on 4 or fewer people. Cabin has queen bed and two twin beds.

American River Cabin Rates: $75 per night midweek, $90 Friday/Saturday (per night). Rates based on 1 or 2 people.

Cabins include BBQ's, picnic tables, as well as a private (Yuba River Cabin) or shared private yard (American River Cabin). Access to the river and to the campgound grounds is included.
Camp
Lotus strives to give all campers the best experience possible. Located
on one of the premier rivers in the United States, Camp Lotus provides a perfect
setting for all recreational activities, special events, and relaxation.

- All sites are fully irrigated to give campers grass sites throughout the summer months.
- 10 shady and level sites with water & electric hook-ups, suitable for RV's from 20' to 40'.
- Bathrooms cleaned 3 times a day, along with free hot showers.
- Volleyball and Horseshoes.
- Camp Lotus Store & Deli has boating and camping items, cold drinks, basic groceries, clothing, and a full service deli featuring home made food and espresso.
- 1 mile trail around the perimeter of camp offering a short nature walk.

Reservations
& Deposit Policy: Reservations are highly recommended for all
weekend camping. For Summer weekends reservations should be made well in
advance. Reservations are usually not needed for weekday camping. We require a
50% deposit to secure a reservation. We take most major credit & ATM cards.
Deposits are refundable, less a $10.00 handling fee, only if we receive 10 days of cancellation. Deposits will not be refunded if you don't show up or if we receive less than 10 days notice of cancellation.
Family Rates: Children 8 years and younger are free.
Directions: From Sacramento, take hwy. 50 east. In 30 miles, one mile past Cameron Park, exit at Ponderosa Road, turn left over the freeway and go right on N. Shingle Road. Proceed 11 miles on that road (it turns into Lotus Road). Turn left at the stop sign onto Bassi Rd. Go one mile down to entrance.
