Placerville Seventh-Day Adventist Church

In 1849, when John Sutter reached down to retrieve a gold nugget about a tenth the size of a dime, the course of California changed forever. One Hundred and Fifty Four years later, the Placerville Adventist Church, which is located 10 miles from where the first gold nugget was found, is still REACHING to retrieve gold nuggets; however, the gold nuggets of today are found within each of our members in the form of talent and the desire to communicate the good news of God’s unconditional love while serving our community in the name of Jesus.

Our Mission:

Our church family has a current membership of 767.  We are dedicated to support and encourage individuals to grow, to love, to accept and to forgive one another in the spirit of Jesus.

We are excited to announce that Pastor Jim Pimentel and his wife Konimi have joined our congregation as our new senior pastor. Pastor Jim comes to us from the Arizona Conference office where he served as the Ministerial Secretary and Youth Director. Pastor Jim has served  the Hawaiian and Central California conferences before moving to Arizona.  We are looking forward to their friendship and their spiritual leadership.

Pastor Roy Hager, our youth pastor, is very active with our youth of all ages.   In 1998 he took a group of our senior youth to Belize, Central America to build a church.  In 1999, a church in Honduras was the project.   In 2001, Costa Rica was the destination for our youth to build a church.  In 2003, Pastor Susan and Roy Hager took 25 youth and adults to Dominican Republic to build a church near the capital of Santo Domingo.  Their trip was highly successful for the locals as well as those who help build the church.

When Pastor Roy  is not planning mission trips, he and his wife, Susan, are very active in the youth work of our church, including children's church, Adventurer Club and Vacation Bible School.

Our Saturday service is open to all, with study services starting at 9:30am and Worship Services beginning at 10:40am.  You and your family are more than welcome to spend Sabbath with us in fellowship. If you can't visit us in person, take a few minutes to visit our web pages and discover our gold for yourself.
