March 29th: BACKCOUNTRY.   Chris Stuart and Backcountry, "Their songs trace the flows of life and love, of beauty forever past and achingly possible. There's so much outstanding material. April 4th: MISTY RIVER, an all female acoustic quartet, calls the Pacific Northwest home. These talented women masterfully arrange their own material which includes award-winning original songs, traditionals and other favorite songs and tunes from many genres.  Yet, they are probably best known for their "stop you in your tracks" vocal harmonies where each member contributes a different lead vocal timbre that makes the whole "greater than the sum of its parts". Add some astonishing musicianship and you have ... MISTY RIVER!  See More  See latest full size picture

April 11th: JOEL FAFARD is that rare breed of instrumentalist: the kind whose appeal reaches far beyond the realm of serious guitar enthusiasts. The gifted slide fingerstyle player writes stirring, melodic compositions that paint pictures as vivid as any song with words. He introduces them on-stage with hilarious commentary delivered in a "hillbilly farm-boy" stage persona that quickly wins his audience over. And when he sinks his chops into a number like "Face Down in the Rhubarb," well, let's just say the serious guitar enthusiasts aren't disappointed either.  2007 Juno nominee, 2006 WCMA winner, 2006 CFMA nominee, 2004 WCMA nominee See More

April 26th: TRACY GRAMMER teamed with the revered late Dave Carter in the mid 90’s.  Dave and Tracy had become one of the top Folk Duo’s in the US prior to his untimely death. Tracy presently tours internationally with songwriter/multi-instrumentalis t Jim Henry.  With acoustic and electric guitars, beautifully matched voices, dobro, mandolin and violin, this duo shares original songs, instrumentals, and pays homage to  Dave Carter and other stellar writers while charting a brand new course for themselves in the musical landscape.   “[Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer have] become a treasured part of my music collection... Flower of Avalon presents more songs by Dave Carter, with Tracy at the helm as artist, interpreter, co-producer and the beating heart at the center of it all. Her pure voice conveys the simple truths of these songs; her gifts as a musician are like that of a painter who is a master of chiaroscuro, offering light and shadow at every turn.... I was honored and humbled by the invitation to sing on this record.“ See More
