The El Dorado County Transportation Commission will receive an update today on the state Department of Transportation's project to improve traffic flow on Highway 50 through Placerville.
Discussion will focus on improved signal coordination along the highway, left-turn movements from the westbound Main Street-Placerville Drive connector roadway to Forni Road, and decorative components of the project.
Andrew Brandt, chief of Caltrans' Office of Maintenance and Traffic Operations, will be present along with Clark Peri, project manager, and Mic Restaino, resident engineer.
The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. in the Building C hearing room, 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville.
