REGIONAL WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Water Resources, in cooperation with other State agencies, is holding a regional public workshop to gather and share information about the California Water Plan Update 2009. The workshop will be held in El Dorado Hills on August 10, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., including a working lunch. The Mountain Counties Water Resources Association and the Sierra Nevada Conservancy will be hosting this workshop at the El Dorado Hills Fire Department Administration office located at 1050 Wilson Blvd, about 1 mile north of US-50 on El Dorado Hills Blvd.
The draft workshop agenda is below, and representatives of water agencies and collaboratives; local, state and federal government; watershed and community groups; conservancies; and the public are strongly encouraged to attend.

This workshop is part of the public outreach to discuss water issues and management strategies in the Mountain Counties and North Lahontan hydrologic regions for inclusion in the Water Plan’s regional reports. The presentations will include information about related
integrated regional water management plans and regional flood plans.
The California Water Plan provides a framework for water managers, legislators, and the public to consider options and make decisions regarding California’s water future. Additional information about the 2009 Update of the California Water Plan is available online at: www.waterplan.water.ca.gov .
