On May 5 the Chief Administrative Office received a Public Records Act request from the Sacramento Bee for an electronic listing showing the 2007 base and overtime earnings for each employee in El Dorado County, along with the employee’s name, department and job title. State and other local government jurisdictions have received similar requests. The Sacramento Bee is obtaining salary information for every government employee in the Sacramento region.
