
EL DORADO COUNTY, April 22, 2008 — The El Dorado County Deputy Sheriff’s Association (DSA) has endorsed local business owner and community leader Harry Norris for El Dorado County Supervisor, District 1.
“Harry Norris is an outstanding businessman and public servant with unwavering principles and a commitment to strong law enforcement,” said Don Atkinson, President of the El Dorado County DSA. “The breadth of his experience and accomplishments in our community compel us to endorse him for District 1 Supervisor.”
Norris has also garnered endorsements from elected officials and community leaders, including El Dorado Hills Community Services District board members Tony Rogozinski and Larry Brilliant; El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) board members John Fraser, Bill George, George Osborne and George Wheeldon; library advocate Betty January; and local philanthropist Buzz Nunn.

Local resident and business owner Harry Norris is a candidate for El Dorado County Supervisor, District 1. Founder/owner of El Dorado Hills 76, Norris is an elected board member of the El Dorado Irrigation District (EID), for which he has helped lead reforms that have saved rate payers millions of dollars. He served on the El Dorado County Board of Education from 1993 to 2003, receiving the “Spirit of Boardsmanship” award from the El Dorado County School Boards Association. Accolades from local Chamber organizations include “Citizen of the Year” and “Small Business of the Year.” Serving in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970, Norris was awarded two Bronze Stars for service in combat.
