EDH CSD Applicants Sought

The El Dorado Hills Community Services District is accepting applications from people interested in serving as members or alternate members of the design review committee.

The volunteer panel reviews and approves proposals for property improvements on about 70 percent of the lots in El Dorado Hills that are governed by covenants, conditions and restrictions recorded on each parcel.

Though CC&R requirements for each residential village may vary, the committee must screen exterior improvements, including new homes, room additions, pools, paint colors, roofing, fencing, landscaping, sheds, patio covers, decks and solar panels.

The review process is intended to ensure that property improvement standards established by the original developer, and accepted by each homeowner at the time of purchase, are consistently observed and maintained, a district news release says.

Committee members must be residents and/or property owners in El Dorado Hills and be able to commit two to four hours per week to the task.

Applications are available at the district office, 1021 Harvard Way, El Dorado Hills, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and at www.edhcsd.org. Call Debbie Kossick at (916) 614-3209.
