EID awards $750,000 contract to Rutters

DENVER, CO, Nov. 20 /CNW/ - Rutter Inc. (TSX: RUT) is pleased to announce Rutter Hinz, the Company's engineering and automation arm has been awarded a services contract by the Eldorado Irrigation District (EID) to provide a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA) upgrade for their facilities located in Placerville, California.

"The Placerville facilities are extensive and include a collections system, a canal system, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants and a power house," said Rick Dmytryshyn, Vice-President, US Business Development. "What this systems upgrade will enable EID to do is improve their ability and flexibility to manage these assets. When the upgrade is completed in the second quarter of 2008, EID personnel will be able to view and operate any part of the system from any location. As well, centralized communications between the sub-systems will enable them to consolidate databases including key performance indicators, centralize further SCADA development and simplify overall systems maintenance." Dmytryshyn added.

"We are extremely pleased that our offices in Denver and San Diego were able to collaborate to provide the knowledge and skill sets EID were expecting in awarding this contract," said Ryan Hinz, President and CEO of Rutter Hinz Inc. "These offices have a solid history in municipal water and wastewater management projects and are key to our overall strategy for greater diversification within the automation industry. Having the right people and experience is what enabled our US team to assemble a very competitive value package that we believe will lead to a long-term working relationship between Rutter Hinz and El Dorado Irrigation District."
