EID Director John Frazer Picked for National Service

John Fraser, a member of the EID Board of Directors, will again represent California water interests on the board of the National Water Resources Association (NWRA). Fraser was selected for this position by the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) for the fourth year in a row. “Western water issues today are more challenging than ever,” Fraser said, “and I will continue to make sure that our voice is heard on vital concerns such as storage, delivery, and efficient use of water resources.”

Before his retirement, Fraser served for 20 years as ACWA’s Executive Director and General Counsel. He has earned a number of honors and awards at the state and national levels, including NWRA Water Leader of the Year, NWRA Distinguished Service, NWRA President’s commendations, and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s Distinguished Service.

The NWRA is a nonprofit federation of state organizations whose membership includes rural water districts, municipal water entities, commercial companies, and individuals. NWRA is concerned with the appropriate management, conservation, and use of water and land resources on a national scope.
