December 14, 2008 at 0245 hours, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a female reporting she and her husband were victims of a home invasion on the 700 Block of Vera Court in El Dorado Hills. According to the victims, they were awakened in their bedroom by two masked men with handguns. The victim’s hands were bound by the suspects and they remained lying on their bed. One of the suspects searched the house while the other guarded the victims.
The suspects rummaged through the residence approximately 30 minutes then told the victims to remain on the bed. The suspects fled the residence, stealing the victims 2003 blue Mitsubishi Spyder, electronics, jewelry and some marijuana. The victim reported seeing a black Jeep leave the area at the same time.
Deputies checked the area but did not locate the suspects or their vehicle.
December 14, 2008, the victim’s vehicle was located at 9:00 PM when a resident on Oak Creek Court in El Dorado Hills reported a suspicious vehicle in the court. According to the resident the vehicle had been unoccupied and running all day.
No suspects have been identified and the investigation is on going.
