An accident involving multiple motorcycles closed Pleasant Valley Road east of Diamond Springs near Placerville for about an hour this morning. The road reopened just after 11 a.m.

The accident occurred just after 10 a.m. this morning near Combo Court, and at least one victim was transported by ambulance to Marshall Hospital in Placerville, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Details on what caused the accident were not available, but at least two motorcycles were down and an automobile was involved as well, according to the CHP. Pleasant Valley Road was closed in both directions to allow at least three tow trucks to access the scene.
