Races for Placerville City Council, El Dorado Hills CSD, Cameron Park CSD

With several incumbents stepping down this fall, at least one new member will be elected to the Placerville City Council and the El Dorado Hills and Cameron Park community services districts in November.

In Placerville, incumbent Mark Acuna has been joined by business owner Dave Machado and businesswoman Cathy Nerwinski in the race for two seats on the City Council. Incumbent Roberta Colvin did not file for re-election.

In the El Dorado Hills Community Services District, neither incumbent Larry Brilliant nor appointed incumbent Rob Vomund is seeking re-election. Vying for two seats on the board are Guy Gertsch, businessman; Noelle Mattock, a governmental affairs representative; and Myrlys Stockdale, an attorney.

In the Cameron Park Community Services District, incumbent Alan Clarke is competing with retired physicist Joe Fuller, retired fire chief Richard Green and business owner Bill Randall for two seats on the board. Incumbent Kenneth Cater did not file for re-election.

In other races, Douglas Pickell, who holds Seat 4 on the Georgetown Divide Public Utility District board, faces a challenge from sales contractor Eric Biersteker, retired construction supervisor Michael Kenoyer and retired contract administrator Bonnie Neeley.

Incumbent Norm Krizl and Douglas Renzoni, a retired engineer, are vying for Seat 5.
