Sac Rock Thrower Breaks Child's Arm

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A rock thrown from a Highway 50 overpass crashed through the windshield of a sport utility vehicle over the weekend, injuring several members of an area family.

The rock was thrown from the Routier Road pedestrian overpass, between Bradshaw and Mather Field roads.

Grace Lacayo, 7, was a passenger in the SUV and suffered a broken arm.

"I screamed to death. It hit me on my elbow," she said.

The Lacayo family was headed home to Placerville about 9 p.m. Saturday night after attending a holiday party in Rancho Cordova.
