INDIANS EXTENDING CARE
A MEDICAL CLINIC WHICH TREATS PATIENTS WITH MODERN TECHNOLOGY AND RESPECT FOR TRADITIONAL MEDICINE AND ETHNIC BELIEFS
Shingle Springs Community Health Clinic has welcomed and served the Shingle Springs area since May 1, 1995. The Shingle Springs Rancheria was purchased by the U.S. Government in 1920 under the authority of the Reservation Acts of 1906 and 1908 for the occupancy of the Sacramento/Verona Band of Homeless Indians. It is the descendants of those Indians who have made available the Shingle Springs Community Health Clinic to serve the community's health needs. The tribe in the operating area affiliated with the clinic is the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians.
