So-called environmentalists are lacking in knowledge

I bought a home on Coyote Ridge Circle last March because it offered several benefits, including defensible space created by nearly a half acre of manicured lawns and very few trees. I did not know at the time how lucky I would end up being, because the home is one of only six that survived on the street. Had the property been covered in natural vegetation, debris from the home behind me that was destroyed and up-wind would also have destroyed mine. That is crystal clear from the damage mine sustained.

I have owned a scientific company for nearly 20 years. Some of our customers are the largest environmental laboratories in the country and I also partner with an environmental laboratory in Canada. It is pretty evident that most people claiming to be environmentalists are anything but that. They possess little if any knowledge and have no idea what it is they are talking about. How many of these people lost their homes in the fire? They likely drive around in hybrids believing they are doing good, when in reality these automobiles are quite harmful. I hope we can come together as a community and work out these serious issues.

Perhaps these environmentalists sent to govern this area can learn a thing or two. Now wouldn't that be something.
