Soccer Sisters win second place in Pacifica Tournament

The "Soccer Sisters" won second place in the Pacific United Coast Cup. The El Dorado Hills "Soccer Sisters," an under-11 girls soccer team, won second place in the Pacific United Coast Cup tournament held Aug. 4-5 in Pacifica.

The Soccer Sisters, coached by Rich Krigger, won the first two games and tied the third, which allowed them to participate in the championship playoff held that Sunday.

The teams were evenly matched, each scoring one goal in regulation play, resulting in two 10-minute overtime periods, with the "golden" or winning goal in effect. During the last minutes of the second overtime, the opposing team scored.

Team players include Nicole Sciutto, Isabella Chelini, Lauren Whited, Jillian Woody, Kaci Peel, Kelly Krigger, Lauren Barca, Katey Nill, Hailee Bernard, Lydia Molitor, Yumi Drossos, Tatiana Goldman, Erin Krigger, Kylie Goyton and Madison van Overbeek.
