Girl Scouts from the Tahoe Shores Service Unit and Cub Scout Pack 468 recently joined forces to collect school supplies for Iraqi school children. More than 100 pencils, pens, crayons, markers, erasers, notebooks and rulers were donated to Iraqi students.

The scouts thank all community members who helped with the effort and extend special thanks to the Tahoe-Douglas Rotary Club for donating the cost of shipping to Iraq.
