April 30, 2008, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office arrested Trina Rodriguez (30yrs.) of Folsom for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 years (288c PC) and annoying or molesting a child under 18 years (647.6 PC). Rodriguez was booked into county jail with a $50,000 bail. Trina Rodriguez worked for the Silva Valley and Lake Forest schools in their extended care program. Rodriguez has been employed at the schools since August 2007. Rodriguez has also worked at a school in the Folsom area prior to her employment in El Dorado County; however the Sheriff’s Office is not aware of any of any inappropriate action occurring in that jurisdiction.
Based on the investigation thus far, it is alleged that Trina Rodriguez inappropriately touch students, sent sexually explicit text messages and displayed sexually explicit video and still photos to students from her cell phone. At this time, 5 students (3 female and 2 male) have been identified as victims of Rodriguez’s actions.
